Film and Television
Cinematographer, Editor, AC
An NYU Tisch alum, Emily Wong received a BFA in Film & Television Production. In her time in college, she created a number of short documentaries, while concentrating in documentary and cinematography. Her first short "Getting Banksy" grabbed the attention of HBO Documentary Films. They licensed some of her footage, which was included in HBO's "Banksy Does New York."
Her second short "Into the Caves" was shot in Cuba right before the turning point in US-Cuba relations, right before they restored diplomatic relationships. It was featured on Cornell University's website.
Her senior thesis "Sofar Sounds: A Documentary" is currently in post-production. When she is not filming and editing her own projects, Emily freelances as a camera operator and AC, and works as a Video Lead at Sofar Sounds. She has shot for short films, documentaries, music videos, and commercials, working for Dow Jones, Sally Hansen, the Whitney Museum, Cosmo, and COTY, Inc. She has AC-ed on commercials for Squarespace, eBay, Estée Lauder, and LG Electronics.
